The PTC San Francisco committee is in charge of running all PTC events in PEI! In Y3, you'll work in a team of 7 to put together one hackathon, 4 outreach events, and one conference, supported by our core portfolio teams. 

These roles are open to high school students only. 

Roles

 
CO-PRESIDENT
  • Establishes a vision for the committee to follow

  • Co-leads a team of 5 directors to ensure the overall success of PTC in your region

  • Runs weekly committee meetings, delegates tasks, and leads the team
     

  • Previous leadership experiences is an asset

  • Hard-working and detail-oriented individual

  • Strong time management skills
     

FINANCE DIRECTOR
  • ​Develops annual budget for all regional events

  • Keeps records of expenses and revenues in the region

  • Manages ticket sales

  • Reimburses approved expenses with receipts
     

  • Good with numbers

  • Basic understanding of Google Sheets

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles is an asset; willingness to learn is appreciated
     

MARKETING DIRECTOR
  • Manages regional Instagram account

  • Creates marketing plan for all regional events

  • Creates all media content for regional events

  • Works with the Media Committee to create content for the general PTC social media accounts

  • Strong graphic design skills

  • Familiar with social media trends

  • Familiar with Instagram

LOGISTICS DIRECTOR
  • Works with the Sponsorship Director to secure the event's venue and catering services

  • Oversees the regional ambassador program

  • Establishes event itinerary

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Previous leadership experiences is an asset

  • Past experiences running events is an asset

SPONSORSHIP DIRECTOR
  • Develops sponsorship packages for events

  • Leads the search for event-specific sponsorships for the region

  • Works with other Sponsorship Directors to draft grant applications

  • Strong writing and oral communication skills

  • Comfortable with cold-emailing and cold-calling
     

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
  • Keeps track of internal meeting minutes and attendance

  • Works closely with the Marketing Director to create a student outreach plan to bring in event attendees and ambassadors

  • Strong writing skills; able to draft professional emails

  • Strong organization skills

  • Familiar with GSuite tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
